Site Care
Two ways to keep a wedding site alive. Last updated 13 August 2026 · draft for review.
If we host your site — how we maintain it
Every Ever After membership includes the quiet work that keeps a site healthy, so you never have to think about it:
- Hosting, security and backups — your site is served over a secure connection, backed up, and kept online. If something breaks, fixing it is our job, not yours.
- Content updates — three content updates per membership year are included: loading your wedding gallery after the day, opening the honeymoon chapter, adding an anniversary chapter. Send us the photos and words; we do the rest. Additional updates are a small fixed fee, quoted before we start.
- RSVP and guest care — while invitations are open, replies flow to you automatically; before each event we send you the tidy final list.
- Renewal notices — you’ll hear from us before any renewal, plainly, with the price. No silent charges.
- Support — email us at any time; we respond within two business days, faster near your wedding date.
- Your exit, always open — download your complete archive whenever you like, or convert to Yours Outright and take the site with you.
If you own your site — the owner’s guide
Yours Outright couples run their own site. It’s genuinely manageable — here is the whole job:
- Two renewals a year to watch: your domain name (paid to your registrar, yearly) and your hosting plan. Put both on auto-renew with a card that won’t expire soon, and diary the dates. A lapsed domain is the number-one way wedding sites die.
- Keep the keys safe: store the logins for your hosting account, your domain registrar and your email service in a password manager both of you can access.
- Back up before you change anything: your site is a folder of files. Keep a copy of the current version (and your photos) in two places — for example your computer and a cloud drive — and make a fresh copy before each edit.
- Updating content: your handover pack includes the site files with plainly marked sections — names, dates, wording, photo folders — and step-by-step instructions for editing them and re-publishing to your hosting. If you can rename a file and copy a folder, you can maintain this site.
- When you’re stuck: your first 30 days of handover support are included. After that, we’re still here — updates and rescues are available as a paid service at an agreed fixed price, no membership required.
Which suits you?
If you’d rather never think about hosting, renewals or file edits, choose a membership and it’s our job forever. If you like owning things outright and don’t mind two renewals and the odd file edit a year, Yours Outright is honest, one-time, and truly yours. Either way, your memories are never locked in.
